Educational Event within SDG 4 – Quality Education
The Department of Information Systems conducted an educational event aimed at improving the quality of education within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – “Quality Education.” This event was organized as one of the external educational programs for a broad audience beyond the university campus. The training was aimed at improving teachers’ professional competencies, mastering modern digital technologies, and effectively applying innovative teaching methods in the educational process.
On December 8, 2025, A. Sarsenbayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Information Systems, conducted a 72-hour express professional training for teachers of the private school “Pifagor” on the topic “Innovative Teaching Technologies.” The main purpose of the training was to improve teachers’ professional skills, develop their ability to work in a digital educational environment, and form practical skills in using modern pedagogical and information technologies in the teaching process.
During the training, participants became familiar with modern digital platforms, interactive teaching methods, and online and hybrid learning models. In addition, the training covered the effective use of digital resources in lesson organization, ways to increase students’ engagement, visualization of educational materials, preparation of interactive tasks, and modern approaches to providing feedback.
Special attention was paid to the use of multimedia tools, distance learning technologies, the integration of artificial intelligence elements into the educational process, and the digitalization of teaching. Participants learned about the possibilities of artificial intelligence tools in preparing educational materials, creating assignments, analyzing students’ learning outcomes, and forming individual learning paths. These areas are important for improving teachers’ digital literacy and ensuring quality education.
The 72-hour professional training included both theoretical and practical components. Theoretical lectures were combined with practical tasks, real examples, and case analysis. Participants shared their experience and discussed ways to apply innovative teaching technologies in their pedagogical practice. The training was conducted in the format of question-and-answer sessions, group discussions, and practical work, which ensured the active participation of teachers.
The educational event was closely connected with the key principles of SDG 4 – “Quality Education.” Teachers’ professional development, the improvement of their digital competencies, and the acquisition of innovative pedagogical methods directly contribute to improving the quality of education. In addition, such training strengthens cooperation between educational organizations and supports the development of an accessible and high-quality educational environment.
Overall, the 72-hour express professional training on “Innovative Teaching Technologies,” organized by the Department of Information Systems, contributed to improving teachers’ professional competencies, promoting the wider use of innovative pedagogical practices, and enhancing the quality of education.
