Excellence in History Education: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Strengthens Positions in QS Global Rankings

The "History" direction at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University confirmed its high status in 2026 by entering the 201–250 group of the QS World University Rankings by Subject. This result is an indicator of the qualitative transformation of historical education at the university and its growing influence within the global scientific community.

Strengthening these positions was made possible by the increased publication activity of the teaching staff in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Research by KazNU historians in the study of archival documents and social processes in Central Asia resonates widely with international experts and reviewers. A key aspect of this success has been the integration of archival science with the latest information systems and the development of digital humanities. Entering this group demonstrates that the university's historical school successfully combines fundamental academic traditions with innovative approaches to analyzing the past.
