The Farabi Forum opened the way for new international initiatives

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has solemnly summed up the results of the traditional V International Farabi Forum.

The large-scale event began with an exhibition of the best student innovation projects. At the opening of the forum, the possibilities of modern technologies were widely used. A video clip with the image of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, created with the help of artificial intelligence, was presented to the guests. The digital incarnation of the great thinker, which voiced his teachings and scientific legacy, became a symbolic step that emphasized the main goal of the forum – the continuity of an invaluable treasure of the past and innovations of the future.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted the strategic importance of science in the development of the country and voiced the position of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: "The intellectual power of the country is directly determined by the ideas, research and scientific results of scientists. Science is a strategic priority for al-Farabi Kazakh National University. We are making every effort to develop fundamental and applied research, support young scientists and strengthen international cooperation",- said the head of the university.

The international scale of the forum was highlighted by the participation of 105 foreign scientists from France, Italy, Poland, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries.

One of the key events of the event was the signing of a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the field of food security with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOF). Berik Aryn, Director General of the IOPB, praised the scientific potential of the university: "41 states are members of our organization, and our main goal is to develop sustainable agriculture and ensure food security. The discussion of topics such as artificial intelligence, digitalization and sustainable development goals at the V Farabi International Forum testifies to the university's active involvement in solving global problems. KazNU's modern laboratories and supercomputer facilities are a powerful pillar for our international mission. Today's memorandum formalized our partnership," he said. In addition, within the framework of the forum, the guest of honor presented special awards to a group of young scientists taking their first steps in science.

The solemn event continued with congratulations from foreign guests. Roberto Boltri, Professor at the University of Bologna (Italy), a UN volunteer in Central Asia, expressed his gratitude, noting:

"This forum is the intersection of science and culture. We have once again seen that KazNU has the potential to compete on an equal footing with global research centers".

In turn, the rector of Bukhara International University, Sharif Baratov, emphasized the importance of intensifying bilateral academic ties.

During the forum in honor of the Day of Science Workers, the work of the university's teaching staff and researchers was highlighted. A number of scientists have been awarded special awards for their significant contribution to the development of the academic environment.

At the end of the event, the winners of the contests "The best young scientist of KazNU" and student business incubators were determined. The large-scale event ended with a memorable photo shoot in honor of the winners.

It is worth noting that within the framework of the traditional forum, a series of three international scientific and practical conferences, round tables and workshops were organized. In addition, a conference of students and young researchers "Farabi Alemi" was held at all faculties of the university. This international platform allowed the participants not only to present their scientific research, but also to discuss topical issues of philosophy and education, exchange best practices and lay the foundation for new joint projects.
