The Origins of the Formation of Kazakhstan’s Scientific Elite

On April 16, 2026, a meeting was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University between undergraduate students majoring in Political Science and Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Republican Information Center for the Study of Historical Materials at the R.B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies, M.K. Abuseitova. A group of undergraduate students majoring in Oriental Studies also took part in the meeting.

Meruert Kuatovna is a professional deeply committed to the development of science. Within the framework of “Political Anthropology,” she delivered an engaging presentation on the results of searching, identifying, and studying historical documents of the republic preserved in European countries, as well as their use in preparing fundamental publications and the multi-volume history of Kazakhstan commissioned by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.-J.K. Tokayev.

Such meetings enhance the quality of education, increase young people’s interest in research activities, promote gender equality, and generally contribute positively to the development of human capital. The implementation of these areas effectively supports the achievement of the key objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals.
