CHARITY EVENT WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE “SHARE WARMTH” SOCIAL PROJECT

At the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a meaningful charity event was organized within the framework of the social project “Share Warmth”.

As part of the project, under the guidance of the senior curator of the department, Sarsembekova Z.K., advisors and students visited the “Karima” nursing home, where they showed respect, care, and compassion for the elderly residents. The main purpose of the event was to instill kindness, respect for elders, humanity, and social responsibility in students, as well as to promote a culture of charity and volunteerism.

The department staff and students prepared a special festive table for the elderly and provided them with essential household items and daily necessities. In addition, the students actively participated in cleaning the nursing home’s surrounding area, helping to improve and organize the environment. While some students worked on cleaning the yard and maintaining the territory, the female students and teachers prepared meals, had warm conversations with the elderly residents, and received their heartfelt blessings.

This noble initiative was carried out with the support of the faculty members of the department. In addition, Taukebayev O.Zh. provided sponsorship and made a significant contribution to purchasing the necessary items. Thanks to such sincere support, the project became a bright example of genuine care and humanity.

Charity is one of the noblest human qualities. Such meaningful meetings have a positive impact on students’ spiritual development and help them better understand the importance of caring for the older generation. The gratitude and blessings of the elderly are the greatest reward for any good deed.

The “Share Warmth” project is an important initiative that inspires kindness and compassion in the hearts of young people. The Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics will continue to organize socially significant events like this and further develop its activities based on humanity and goodwill.
