Joint meeting of KazNU and the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan

On the occasion of Media Workers' Day, a joint field meeting was held by the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan. This significant event served as an important platform for dialogue, highlighting the intersection of modern science and media.

The program for media representatives began with a special campus tour that showcased the university's scientific and innovative potential. The journalists visited the Kazakhstan-China Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technologies and Applications, the Farabi Supercomputer Center, the Brain Institute, the Farabi Hub for Innovative Products and High-Tech Projects, and the Farabi Robotics Center.

The field meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, who congratulated the media workers on their professional holiday. The university leader emphasized the importance of high-quality training in the era of high competition in the modern media space and noted the historical mission of the university in the field of journalism.

"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has always been and remains the golden cradle and forge of national journalism education. For us, training journalists is not just about issuing diplomas, but about shaping responsible individuals who prioritize national interests and are true to their word and actions",- said Zhanseit Tuimebayev.

In turn, the President of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan, Sagymbai Kozybaev, congratulated his colleagues and emphasized the special mission of the press in shaping a fair Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, an award ceremony was held, and the best industry professionals who had made a significant contribution to the development of domestic journalism were presented with awards and letters of appreciation.
