The presentation of the innovative artificial intelligence platform leapspace from elsevier company took place at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The event, which highlights the university's commitment to the digital transformation of science, was attended by Ayhan Sarachoglu, Regional Manager of Elsevier for Scientific Solutions for Turkiye and Central Asia, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Science and Innovation, as well as representatives of the university's research departments.

Opening the meeting, Margulan Kasenovich noted the university's long-term experience in using Elsevier scientific platforms. According to him, ScienceDirect, Scopus and SciVal resources play an important role in the development of the university's scientific activities, improving the quality of research and expanding international scientific cooperation. "In the context of the rapid growth of scientific information, the ability of researchers to quickly find, analyze and effectively use the necessary data is of particular importance. In this regard, the capabilities of the LeapSpace platform are of great interest to scientists at our university," the vice–rector emphasized.

Elsevier Regional Manager Ayhan Sarachoglu presented in detail the functionality of LeapSpace. The platform is a new generation product that combines ScienceDirect ai and Scopus ai solutions into a single ecosystem for working with scientific information. The speaker emphasized that LeapSpace is designed for intellectual search of scientific literature, analysis of research directions, search for scientific partners and grant opportunities. As a global leader in scientific analytics, Elsevier's mission today is to support researchers at every stage of their work.

During the presentation, practical cases of using the platform were demonstrated. The participants discussed how AI helps in the preparation of highly cited publications and the analysis of scientometric indicators. An important outcome of the meeting was the announcement that Elsevier is providing KazNU researchers with free test access to LeapSpace for a period of one month. This allows scientists to evaluate in practice the advantages of intelligent search and the analytical capabilities of ScienceDirect and Scopus tools in a new format.
In addition, during the open dialogue, the parties discussed in detail the prospects for further cooperation in the field of science and education.
