International Scientific and Practical Conference on the New Constitutional Values Held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

On July 2, 2026, the Scientific Library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled "The New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan: New Values, Challenges, and Responsibility to Future Generations."

The large-scale scientific event brought together scholars from Kazakhstan's leading higher education institutions, legal experts, public figures, faculty members, doctoral candidates, and master's students. The participants engaged in comprehensive discussions on the most pressing issues related to the constitutional development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The primary objective of the conference was to provide a scholarly assessment of the significance of the renewed Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in contemporary society, promote new constitutional values, discuss key issues concerning the strengthening of the rule of law, and facilitate the exchange of international experience.

During the plenary session, a total of twelve scientific presentations were delivered. The participants shared their research findings and proposals on the legal, political, and social dimensions of constitutional reforms. The presentations addressed a wide range of issues, including ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution, protecting human rights and freedoms, fostering legal culture, improving public administration, developing civil society institutions, and enhancing the legal awareness of young people.

Professors from leading higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the conference online and delivered insightful presentations on the constitutional development of the two countries, legal reforms, and international academic cooperation. The participation of international scholars further enhanced the conference's global significance and provided new opportunities for scientific dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

Throughout the conference, participants exchanged views on the role of the Constitution in shaping new social values, addressing legal challenges in the context of globalization, ensuring the rule of law, and strengthening responsibility toward future generations. It was also emphasized that science, education, and the academic community play a crucial role in the development of a democratic state governed by the rule of law.

As a result of the conference, the participants adopted recommendations aimed at further advancing scientific research, strengthening international cooperation, and implementing joint projects dedicated to promoting constitutional values.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference became an important academic platform that contributed to the development of legal scholarship, the expansion of international scientific cooperation, and a deeper understanding of the significance of the Constitution in modern society.
