KazNU and a Chinese company will create a new center

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Chinese company Tianjin Anhao Biotechnology Co., Ltd will jointly establish a Center for Synthetic Biotechnology.

During a working visit to China, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, met with the management of Tianjin Anhao Biotechnology Co., Ltd, resulting in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation.

During the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted the importance of expanding cooperation, emphasizing that the establishment of the Synthetic Biotechnology Center would contribute to strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and China in the fields of science, education, and innovation. Representatives of Tianjin Anhao Biotechnology Co., Ltd expressed their interest in long-term cooperation with al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the implementation of joint projects.

The new center will become a platform for the development of joint scientific research, the implementation of innovative projects, and the introduction of advanced developments in the field of synthetic biology and biotechnology. It is planned to combine the scientific potential of Kazakhstan's leading university with the technological capabilities of a Chinese company to train a new generation of specialists and foster international scientific partnerships.
